We started our operations in India under the brand DYWIDAG. DYWIDAG India Pvt. Ltd. was established as a 100% subsidiary of the German construction company DYWIDAG, which was successfully operating worldwide, since 1891 with many pioneering technologies to its credit.

In 2005 STRABAG Group of Austria, one of Europe’s largest construction group took over major parts of DYWIDAG’s business including its international activities. The operations in India are now continued by maintaining its capable and reliable team and its profound technical knowledge under the name of STRABAG India Pvt. Ltd.

As it is worldwide, in India, too, STRABAG continues its excellent and outstanding performance and said business policies in the Indian construction industry.

Since starting operations in India, various complex projects, which among others include sub-sea sewage tunnels in Mumbai and underground sections of the Delhi Metro were successfully completed by us. A section of Delhi Metro, which includes the Connaught Place & Chawri Bazar stations, was completed seven months ahead of schedule and to world class standards, despite the extremely difficult working conditions.
